Tehema Photo Club is having a photography show: The Artist and the Camera from February 2, 2018 through March 24, 2018 at the Orland Art Gallery, 732 4th Street, Orland, CA. There will be a reception for the artists on Friday, February 2, 2018 from 3-7 p.m. RSVP here.

The Tehama County Photo Club was organized in 2005 with only 9 local photographers and today there are nearly 300 photography enthusiasts on its mailing list. In spite of its name, the club welcomes members from other northstate counties, as well as those in Tehama county. Originally, club members assisted each other with advice and timely demonstrations, as well as member-led workshops.

That expanded into group shows and exhibits, field trips and workshops given by non-members. In 2010, several of the founding members started the “Images from a Glass Eye International Photography Contest,” a well-respected contest that became a great success, drawing Fine Art photographers from all over the world.

Their current exhibit at the Orland Art Center Gallery provides an exciting range of photographic techniques, fascinating subject matter, and a delightful variety of artistic styles. Viewers will be rightly impressed with the exceptional quality of technical expertise and the sheer artistry of this very talented group of Fine Art photographers.

Meet each one of them at the Orland Art Gallery Reception and enjoy live music and great food. There are always excellent treats at the refreshment table and music performed on our baby grand piano by the talented young pianist: Ingelise Mahlis Miller.

Remember, Orland Art Center Show and Sale ALWAYS features original art, quality prints, and delightful Fine Art cards available in a wide price range.

Gallery hours: Tuesdays through Saturdays, 1 to 6 p.m. During the show’s duration.
