Shasta Environmental Alliance

Shasta Environmental Alliance (SEA) will be presenting a talk by Ryan Henson of the California Wilderness Coalition on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 6 p.m. at the Redding Public Library Community Room.

The talk will be on threats to our public lands coming from Washington D.C., including the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument.  Ryan has been working to protect the environment and our public lands for several decades and he lives in Shasta County so he is familiar with our local issues.

Shasta Environmental Alliance is a new non-profit company started by David S. Ledger. This will be the first public meeting of SEA and they will introducing themselves to the community and explaining their goals and future plans including strengthening the City of Redding’s Tree Ordinance.  They will also be introducing the organizations who are supporting SEA.

David Ledger frequently leads walks for the California Native Plant Society and Redding Arboretum Trails, where he identifies native plants.
