Adverse Childhood Experience

Join the League of Women Voters of the Redding Area for a presentation by Susan Morris Wilson, Director of the Youth Violence Prevention Council, on the Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE) Study on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 5:45 to 7:00 p.m. at the Pilgrim Church, 2850 Foothill Blvd., Redding CA

This presentation is designed as a follow-up to the Town Hall held in Redding earlier this year.

The Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE) Study confirms, with scientific evidence, that adversity during development increases the risk of physical, mental, behavioral problems later in life.

The ACE study and related research teaches us that ACEs are the leading cause of health and social problems in our nation and the most powerful determinant of the public’s health.

Shasta County Public Health and the Strengthening Families Collaborative have partnered to train a cadre of individuals to present information on the ACE Study to organizations and individuals throughout the County.

This presentation is free and open to the public.
