Let Go of the World and Love

The movie How to Let Go of the World & Love All The Things Climate Can’t Change will be shown on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 6 p.m. in First United Methodist Church’s main sanctuary, 1825 East Street, Redding CA.

This incredible 2016 documentary film by Academy Award nominee Josh Fox, contemplates our climate change future by exploring the human qualities that global warming can’t destroy.

Fox was director of the 2010 HBO movie Gasland. He has toured to over 350 cities giving speeches, lectures and question and answer sessions with his environmental film work as a national spokesman on the issues of the contamination resulting from fossil fuel extraction.

The film acknowledges that it may be too late to stop some of the worst consequences and asks: What is it that climate change can’t destroy? What is so deep within us that no calamity can take it away?

A discussion with local experts will follow the screening and there will be great snacks from Red Bicycle Catering.

the event will Sponsored by Redding First United Methodist Church, the Whole Earth and Watershed Festival, Red Bicycle Catering, and KIXE-TV. The event is FREE to attend.
