The Peace Initiative Shasta County (PISC) is sponsoring their second quarter Community Peace Huddle on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 1-4 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 1825 East Street, Redding CA. They are inviting those interested in acting as facilitators to attend a May 6th training at 1 p.m. at the same location, to be delivered by PISC Steering Committee member Robert Brown.

Shasta County PEACE (People for Equity through Advocacy, Collaboration, and Education) Initiative “is a non-partisan, non-denominational grassroots collaborative whose mission is to unify the efforts of Shasta County human rights and social justice groups through advocacy, collaboration, and education in virtual and practical environments. Our vision is an inclusive Shasta County for all people.”

PISC would like everyone to take 90-seconds to complete a survey to help shape the Web Site and Facebook Group to meet your needs and desires. They are also looking for volunteers with skills in an array of areas, including: social media, print and photo journalism, legal, accounting, administrative, public relations, and teaching and training (to name a few). You can donate as little or as much time as you have available. Contact: peaceshastacounty@gmail.com.
