On Native Ground: Standing Rock, which is produced by First Nations Experience, an affiliate state of PBS. The program was recently broadcast on KIXE World Channel 9.3. It has some wonderful interviews of Native Americans and their perspective on the events occurring at Standing Rock, North Dakota regarding the Dakota Access Pipeline.

“Thousands of Natives and Indigenous tribes, as well as non-Natives have come together to fight for the water rights on the land. Two reporters from On Native Ground visited Standing Rock on November 20, 2016 and witnessed actions by DAPL and the military police against the Water Protectors. This special segment gives a different perspective and view of the occurrences that Natives have faced and what they are doing to fight for the land and the water.”

Corporate media have not covered the spiritual and personal aspect of this non-violent resistance. FNX now bring us programming that showcases the lives of Native American and Indigenous people around the world. FNX started broadcasting on KIXE in October, 2016 and is now available on Channel 9.3 every day from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. I discovered them when trying to record Democracy Now! on Channel 9.3, which has been another source for unfiltered information about Standing Rock.

The Native American reverence for Mother Earth and living in harmony with creation and one another is inspiring.

Incidentally, there are some amazing photographs on Flickr, like the one above, if you search First Nation Experience or On Native Ground.
