World AIDS Day 2016

World AIDS Day is December 1st. Every year World AIDS Day events take place across the country to raise awareness and show support for people living with HIV.

Locally, Shasta County Interfaith Forum (SCIF) is co-sponsor with the Shasta County HIV/AIDS Advocacy Group of World AIDS Day, on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 7 PM at the All Saints Episcopal Church, 2150 Benton Drive, Redding, CA.

According to David Wharton, there are approximately 300 people diagnosed with AIDS in our local area. The Shasta County HIV Food Bank, located at 925 Wall Street, Redding (behind Walgreens on Churn Creek) is open on the 1st & 3rd Monday of each month to serve this population.

According to Pink News, “Every single Trump cabinet member so far opposes LGBT rights.”
