Black Friday in Redding CA is more than just about shopping.

The Shasta Tehama Trinity ACLU Chapter will be hosting the semi-annual FREE Community Picnic on Black Friday, November 25, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church East and South St., Redding, CA.

This is a time to share food and conversation with the poor and shelterless.  There will be hot dogs, chili beans, fruit, cookies and other things.  We hope you will join us.

They can use volunteers and donations.  Please let Chris Mitchell (530.226.8339) know if you can help.

The Shasta-Tehama-Trinity Chapter is working to protect and advance civil liberties and civil rights in Shasta, Tehama, and Trinity Counties. The chapter meets monthly in Redding. Chapters are the ACLU’s eyes and ears in our home communities. They extend the ACLU’s reach throughout Northern California and keep lawmakers on their toes by working tirelessly to advance countless civil liberties goals using a variety of tactics.
