Shasta College Office of Access and Equity and Whiskeytown National Park are sponsoring the 3rd annual Cesar Chavez Day of Service on Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Whiskeytown Recreational Area.
Volunteers will meet at 8 a.m. at Whiskeytown Park Headquarters (take a left at the visitor’s center, drive for approximately 1 mile and the headquarters will be located on the right.)
Volunteers will be matched with their park staff facilitator and will receive a one day pass to Whiskeytown National Recreational Area. Volunteers must wear closed toed shoes, pants and long-sleeved shirts to avoid poison oak.
Please bring gloves and protective eye gear if you have it. Some will be provided. All volunteers must provide their own transportation. Volunteers under the age of 18 must have an adult present.
Participants are also encouraged to bring water, sunscreen, hats and snacks for the day. Lunch will be served from 12 noon to 1 p.m..
