Mental Health Meeting

Shasta County’s Community Education Committee (CEC) is meeting on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Shasta County Library, 1100 Parkview Ave., Redding CA.

CEC is the community stakeholder group that informs, guides and provides accountability for May Mental Health Month events, the Brave Faces and Voices project, Hope Is Alive! Open Mic Nights and the Stand Against Stigma campaign. The CEC works to promote mental wellness, increase community awareness of mental health, and end the stigma surrounding mental illness and substance abuse.

The CEC is open to all interested members of the public, and meets at 1 p.m. the second Tuesday of every month.

Stand Against Stigma is sponsored by Shasta County Health and Human Services Agency in conjunction with many community partners and advisory boards. Funding for this project is provided through the Mental Health Services Act.
