Mozart’s Requiem at Simpson

The Simpson University Music Department will present its community chorus, the Trinity Repertory Singers, with orchestra in a free performance of Mozart’s Requiem on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 3 PM in the Heritage Student Life Center on the Simpson University campus, 2211 College View Drive, Redding CA.

The concert is a collaborative production that will include instrumentalists from the Redding region and choir members from Weaverville Congregational Church and Pilgrim Congregation Church.

Trinity Repertory Singers is conducted by Dr. Cyril Myers Jr., Simpson’s director of choral activities. Dr. Myers holds a doctorate in choral conducting and has extensive experience as a choral director, as well as being an alumnus of three professional ensembles. He is also the music minister at Pilgrim Congregational Church and a member of the North Valley Chamber Chorale in Chico.

Trinity Repertory Singers holds auditions each fall for community members, as well as Simpson University students and employees.
