Homelessness: A Plan of Action

On Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Redding City Council candidate Kristen Schreder is hosting a community discussion Homelessness: A Plan of Action  at the Community Room at the Redding Library.  This will be a community discussion focusing on the important issue of homelessness in Redding, bringing together key community organizations to collaborate and develop a cohesive plan and solutions.

Panelists will discuss the definitions of homelessness, share local statistics, inform attendees about current and proposed programs and services, and what is working in the community now, where the gaps in service currently exist and how to identify specific needs and avoid duplication of services.

Panelists include these and others:
  • Donnell Ewert, Director, Shasta County Health and Human Services
  • Jessica Delaney, Coordinator of City of Redding and Shasta County Homeless Continuum of Care Council
  • Melinda Brown, Director, People of Progress
  • Jonathon Anderson, Director, Good News Rescue Mission
