We have FAITH, IN Redding, CA

This Saturday, June 28, 2014 a small group of members and friends of Pilgrim Church in Redding, CA will gather at the Redding Public Library Fireside Room at 10 AM to locally launch the FAITH, IN projectWe have FAITH, IN Redding. We are looking for ways each of us can improve the happiness and well-being of our community. Rachel Hatch will be facilitating our discussion.

Pharrell and the good people in Camden, NJ helps us Feel Good and inspire us to Do Good so we can Show Good. Earlier in 2014 they “decided to show the world the other side of the coin to a city that is dubbed with too much negative press.” They launched The Goodness Project where they hope to inspire others to show their goodness.

We are happy to call Redding, CA home. Spread the goodness. Have faith in Redding.

If the City of Santa Monica can have a “well-being index” Redding, CA can too. http://www.fastcoexist.com/3027712/how-a-wellbeing-index-for-cities-is-taking-shape-in-california

Shasta County comes up better than about 1/3 of US Counties according to NY Times of “Hardest Places to Live in the U S” based on six data points: education (percentage of residents with at least a bachelor’s degree), median household income, unemployment rate, disability rate, life expectancy and obesity. http://www.nytimes.com/2014/06/26/upshot/where-are-the-hardest-places-to-live-in-the-us.html?smid=tw-nytimes&_r=0
