Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Forum

On April 2, 2014, The Women’s Fund of the Shasta Regional Community Foundation will hold a free, community forum on the alarming issue of domestic violence and sexual assault in Shasta County, and the local launch of the national NO MORE community awareness campaign. Together we can end Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault.

The Forum will be held at 12 to 1:30 PM at the Redding Library Community Room, 1100 Parkview Ave., Redding, CA

Josh Lowery, Chief Deputy District Attorney, will highlight local statistics and moderate the forum.

Terri Fields Hosler, Public Health Director, will provide an overview of the NO MORE campaign.

One SAFE Place Executive Director Jean King will emphasize the importance of bystander engagement and introduce our guest speaker Alan Berkowitz, a national expert who will lead a discussion about what we can do locally to say NO MORE.

The Women’s Fund was founded to address the persistent challenges facing women and families in the Redding area and is a program of the Shasta Regional Community Foundation. It is a different organization that One SAFE Place, but supports their good work.

To RSVP for this free Forum call 530-244-1219, ext. 250.
