You may have read in the Record Searchlight that Vintner’s Cellar, 1700 California Street, Redding, CA, has shifted focus from wine-making to local wines, art and entertainment. They will now be featuring both local and international wines, local art and entertainment with the goal to become the premier downtown Redding location for wine, art & entertainment events.
They have added a player piano for a fun and unique atmosphere and created the gallery to display great art and host private parties. Starting in March 2014 they will publish a monthly calendar with all of their scheduled events. Wine events may include wine parents, blind tastings, flight nights, trivia nights and meet the winemaker. Art events will include meet the artist, Paint and a Splash and open gallery night. Entertainment will include live performances, open-mic night, name that tune night and theater and comedy nights.
They will be changing the food menu to focus on appetizers and desserts and will be launching a new Wine Club Offering to receive two bottles of wine every other month, one local and one international selection.
Of course, most restaurants, bars and taverns in downtown Redding also have a selection of wines. Corbett’s Restaurant, 1455 Pine Street, Redding, CA also has monthly wine tastings and sales of fine wines – talk to Chris or Mel to get on their email list.
Mark your calendar for Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 2 PM – 6 PM for the 3rd Annual Downtown Redding Wine Walk. Tickets are $20.
