Join Growing Local Coalition and People of Progress on Wednesday, October 24th, 5:30 pm to 8 pm for Redding’s 2nd annual Food Day celebration: OctoberFeast! – Connecting Farms and Families. The dinner is a benefit for People of Progress Food Bank & Resource Center. It is also being promoted by Healthy Shasta.

OctoberFeast brings together great chefs, locally grown food, and you – an unbeatable combination! Watch cooking demonstrations from four of the area’s talented chefs and enjoy a gourmet meal. The event is being held at First United Methodist Church Community Room 1825 East Street, Redding, CA (corner of South & East Streets.)

Their goal is to embrace cooking and eating together as families and community while raising essential funds to reduce hunger locally.

Meal and cooking demos will be presented by:

  • Guenn Johnsen-Gentry, Clementine Cooks
  • Christine Silver, Tapas Downtown
  • Roque & Tif Carbajal, Sweetie’s Café & Catering

Families are welcome! Tickets are available online for $15 per person. Kids 12 and under are free and children 13-16 are $6.
