The second annual Food Film Festival is occurring now in the Netherlands featuring movies, workshops, events, feasts, children’s events and an EXPO.
They target an international audience so there will be films in English as well as Dutch and foreign productions in a blend of features, documentaries and short films.
Slow Food International now has a monthly newsletter Terra Madre, where you can read stories about good, clean, and fair food in Italy, Germany, Ireland, Serbia, and beyond. Terra Madre “brings together those players in the food chain who together support sustainable agriculture, fishing, and breeding with the goal of preserving taste and biodiversity.”
There will also an opportunity to learn about global initiatives like “A Thousand Gardens in Africa”, a project of the Terra Madre communities working to create 1,000 food gardens in schools villages and on the outskirts of cities in 25 African countries.
